Following up to my post about 12 Kitchen Appliances That Just Take up Space, Here's 7 Kitchen Appliances I couldn't live without. These are the things that I have and use regularly. The first one I use every day. The rest, I use often enough that they need a convenient home in my kitchen.
Kitchen appliances I couldn't live without, or something like that.
Kettle. I use this multiple times a day. It's the only thing that lives on the counter.
Toaster. I use this most mornings. When I'm done with it, it lives nicely in my pantry.
Coffee grinder. Even though I no longer drink coffee, I still use this little machine often. Mostly to grind up flax seeds and chia seeds.
Handheld mixer. I do use this to bake, and the odd time for mashed potatoes.
Food Processor, hello guacamole! I also use this to make a family sized batch of smoothie. Plus so much more.
I tend to go through phases with my slow cooker….I could live without it, but do enjoy using it once and a while. I use it to make my big holiday dinner stuffing a few times a year. It's the best homemade stuffing ever. I've also used it for yogurt making, apple butter, and random dinners.
Electric Frying Pan / griddle. This is just convenient because I can cook more at once than I can in a stop top frying pan. I have two little, but growing, boys who delight in pancakes, grill cheese and toad in the holes. At this point if it broke, I'd probably wait with replacing it and try making do without, but until then I'll continue to use it.
What's your top number one small kitchen appliance?
